This course -- taught by Auburn University accounting faculty -- is designed to introduce accounting managers, operations managers, finance managers, and others involved in the organization’s financial management processes with a basic understanding of lean accounting methods to assist companies in aligning their lean production system strategies with the organization’s accounting and financial strategies.

Lean For Job Shops

This workshop teaches the principles of lean manufacturing for a discrete, non-repetitive environment, and how to apply them. You will utilize the lean concepts of batch-size reduction, visual signals, standardizing work, and others to convert a convoluted job shop environment into one that reacts to each customer’s specific demand while improving on time delivery, quality and showing a significant improvement to the profit margin by identification and elimination of waste.
