ATAC-ATN OFFERING ‘WINNING WAYS’ FOR BUSINESS GROWTH
AUBURN – Creating the next big and different idea for growing one’s business is the desire of most organizations, and the business consulting and training professionals with the Auburn Technical Assistance (ATAC) at Auburn University and Alabama Technology Network (ATN) are offering “winning ways” to assist clients in this area of opportunity.
David Mixson, a management scientist with ATAC-ATN, who specializes in marketing and growth strategy, recently attended the Eureka Ranch Winning Ways training in Cincinnati.
Under the tutelage of Eureka Ranch's founder Doug Hall, a former master marketer for Proctor Gamble and judge for the television show, "American Inventor," Mixson now is a trained Eureka Growth Coach.
As a Eureka Growth Coach, Mixson will teach and facilitate clients in learning and implementing proven ways to increase sales and to more effectively plan and manage new and potentially smarter growth opportunities.
“Eureka has a more than 20-year track record of helping large companies grow such as Nike, American Express, and Walt Disney,” Mixson said.  “This process is now available to smaller companies through a special licensing agreement between the ATN and Eureka Ranch at a tenth of the normal cost.”
Eureka Winning Ways strives to move an organization toward continuous growth by creating a process for measurably smarter choices for growth. The process is based on three central concepts called “pillars of growth,” Mixson explains.
“The three pillars of growth include creating more effective marketing messages; identifying new customers and new markets; and exploring the development potential of new products, services and business models,” Mixson said.
Also a Professional Certified Marketer, Mixson is co-leading the state-wide effort through the ATAC and ATN to launch Eureka Winning Ways for Alabama organizations through a series of small pilot programs. Meanwhile, organizations interested in learning more about the program may do so by contacting Mixson at (334) 844-4659.
Auburn Technical Assistance Center was established in 1976 and is an affiliate of the Alabama Technology Network and an Economic Development Administration University Center. As an arm of the Auburn University College of Business Outreach program, ATAC provides business and technical assistance, customized training, and consultation in implementing value-added strategies to manufacturers and other businesses, not-for-profit organizations and government agencies in Alabama and the Southeast.
